Board Meeting

January 6, 2016

Ed Ganey, Terry Kocsis and Fred Gottschalk were in attendance with Suzi King Business Manager.  The Insurance policy from State Farm was reviewed and it was noted that State Farm has changed the policy to reflect John Chutney’s ownership of the Eagle statue at the entrance and State Farm in the next 3 or 4 weeks will send a new payee of John Chutney  statement showing coverage of the Statue’s insurance in the amount of $50,000.  The Board approved of the annual payment of the insurance policy with State farm in the amount of $1,880.00 due on February 1, 2015 for a years term.

The Board discussed the fact that a bill from MUD for Water expenses in the amount of about $130.00 was found in a file turned over by a previous HOA President around February 2015 which had not been paid.  Suzi King will approach MUD about paying this past due bill and having the water meter at the entrance replaced.  The Board approved adding about $300.00 in payments estimated to MUD to Contingency Reserves for possible payment in the future.

Board  Thanked Jeane Brown, Charles Thury and Loren Haynes, Gretchen Gottschalk and Fred Gottschalk for their volunteer work on Christmas Decoration at the entrance (only materials used were reimbursed).

Suzi King produced a list of residences who were delinquent in paying dues  going into the end of 2015.  Progress appears to being made to have these delinquent dues in the amount of $3,835 paid up by January 10, 2016.  It is hoped that the establishment of $10 penalties for monthly delinquent dues will encourage more prompt payment by residents in the future.  Residents may wish to establish monthly payments to be paid by their respective banks automatically each month before the 10th of the month to avoid problems with late payments.
