Lawn Treatment Program

Please expect the following with the lawn treatment applications we provide:
  • Round 1 (April) – This application is the pre-emergent to protect against crabgrass, dandelions and germination of weeds. A turf area will grow better without the competition of weeds.
  • Round 2 (May) – This application is a granular application placing nutrients in the soil to better the soil content and give proper growing conditions for the turf. A liquid will also be sprayed to control the broadleaf and grassy weeds.
  • Round 3 (June) – This application will help reduce the nutsedge, crabgrass, dandelions and other unwanted weeds in the turf. Nutrients will be added to the soil resulting in increased amount of organic matter, turf density and plant health.
  • Round 4 (July) – This application is used to reduce and eliminate the larvae of grub worm, while adding nitrogen to the soil. This product is placed in order to control the pest and eliminate it from eating at the root layer of the turf.
  • Round 5 (September) – This application will control the fall cool season weeds. Most importantly, a fertilizer will be applied that will stimulate root growth, generate new roots, and revitalize the soil and rhizome layer after the warm, dry summer months.
  • Round 6 (October) – This application is high in nutrients to give the turf a lasting diet for the winter months. It will use these nutrients to provide proper plant health for the winter and bring the turf back to life in the early spring.
  • All applications are granular – weeds will be spot sprayed with each application. It is best to let each application dry completely before putting any water on it. If your sprinklers will be running the next day it would be fine to sit on the lawn until then. You don’t want to water right after the application or it may dilute the weed spray down. If it is very hot out and you plan to water, give the weed spray at least a few hours before doing so.
